How to attach a Surfboard Leash

Surfboard leash leggy  In this tutorial we will take a look at the proper method of connecting your leash to your surfboard. The surfboard leash is your tether to your surfboard so when you wipe out or fall you won’t have to swim after your surfboard every time.  Anyone who spends enough time in the water surfing soon realizes the benefits of a reliable leash. After all its the only thing that keeps us close to our flotation safety device(our surfboard).

Just in case you are unfamiliar with surfing, here are a few other terms that refer to leash.

  • Leg rope
  • Leggy
  • board tether

As simple as this may sound, there are a few key things that you need to do to ensure that your surfboard leash is attached properly. An improperly connected leash can potentially cause harm to yourself or other people in the water around you as well as cause damage to your surfboard.
